TNT def. Phoenix, 116-96, secures No. 8 seed

TNT Tropang GIGA (5-6) defeated Phoenix Super LPG (8-3), 116-96, securing the final 8th spot in the quarterfinals of the 2023-24 PBA Commissioner's Cup on Sunday, January 14, 2024, at the PhilSports Arena in Pasig.

Rahlir Hollis-Jefferson led the Tropang Giga with one rebound short of a triple-double, tallying 32 points, 9 rebounds, 11 assists, 3 steals, and a block. Calvin Oftana continued his stellar performance, contributing 19 points on 8-of-12 shooting, 3 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 steal, and 1 blocked shot while Kim Aurin had a solid game of 18 points (3/5 3pts), 3 rebounds, 1 assist and a steal.

RR Pogoy posted 11 points, along with three rebounds and three assists in his first game following a heart condition diagnosis.

TNT advances to the quarterfinals against the No.1 seed, twice-to-beat Magnolia, and will start their quarterfinal matchup on Wednesday, January 17, at 8:00pm at the Philsports Arena.
