Rain or Shine Elasto Painters (6-5) secured a narrow 112-111 victory over the Converge FiberXers (1-10) to conclude the elimination round with a 6-5 record, extending their winning streak to six in the 2023-24 PBA Commissioner's Cup on Sunday, January 14, 2024, at the PhilSports Arena in Pasig.
Entering the playoffs as the hottest team, coach Yeng Guiao said during the post game press conference: "Mabuti na rin itong game na ganito. Parang ganito rin mararamdaman o ma-e-experience mo sa playoffs. You need to know how to win in the endgame, how to close out games,".
"You need to feel the pressure, kaya kanina ginusto ko talaga magamit lahat para lahat sila may feel ng game pagdating ng quarterfinals, para pag bunutin mo nakahanda." added Guiao.
