World No. 36 and Asia’s No. 7 Gilas Pilipinas Men (2-2) look to bounce back as they take on World No. 6 Australia Boomers (4-0) in their second game of the third window of the 2027 FIBA Basketball World Cup Asian Qualifiers (Group A) on Monday, July 6, 2026, at 6:30p.m. PHL time at RAC Arena in Perth, Western Australia. [FREE LIVE STREAM BY ONESPORTS]

Gilas suffered a huge 27-point loss to Australia, 93–66, during the first window. Gilas stayed within reach through the first two quarters, heading into halftime down by only five, 38–33. However, the Boomers shifted gears in the third quarter, erupting for 30 points to blow the game open and take command. Australia’s well-rounded attack and suffocating defense took over after the break, using sharp shooting and crisp ball movement to preserve its unbeaten 4–0 record. The defeat dropped Gilas to 2–2, unable to keep pace with the Boomers’ depth and intensity in the closing stretch.

Gilas Pilipinas will be looking to avenge that defeat when it faces Australia again in Perth, where the Boomers are expected to be reinforced by six-time NBL MVP Bryce Cotton, who is set to make his debut for the national team.
