The San Miguel Beermen (3-0) used a strong second half to beat the Phoenix Super LPG Fuel Masters (1-4) 116-102 and secure their third straight win in the 2024 PBA Philippine Cup on Easter Sunday, March 31 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
After an impressive PBA All-Star game, CJ Perez led the Beermen with a season-high 32 points on 13-of-20 shooting, including 4-of-8 from beyond the arc, to go along with four rebounds, five assists, and two steals in 31 minutes of play. Jericho Cruz had a solid 17-point game with two rebounds and a steal. Meanwhile, Terrence Romeo added 16 points, two rebounds, and two assists in 21 minutes.
June Mar Fajardo tallied a double-double of 13 points, twelve rebounds, and three assists, while Don Trollano had 10 points and five rebounds.
