San Miguel def. Magnolia, 109-85 in Game 2 | PBA Finals | February 4

San Miguel Beermen dominated the Magnolia Timplados Hotshots with a convincing 109-85 victory in Game 2, securing a 2-0 lead in their Best-of-7 Finals series of the 2023-24 PBA Commissioner's Cup on Sunday, February 4, 2024, at the SM Mall of Asia Arena. [VIDEO]

Just like in Game 1, five SMB players finished in double figures once again, with both Bennie Boatwright and June Mar Fajardo leading the way with double-doubles.

Boatwright had 34 points (7/16 3pts), to go along with ten rebounds, five assists, and a steal while June Mar added 19 points (2/3 3pts), fourteen rebounds, four assists, one steal and two blocks. CJ Perez had another all-around game of 20 points (8/13FG), six rebounds, four assists, a game-high 5 steals, and one block.

Marcio Lassiter finished with 11 points, shooting 3-of-7 from beyond the arc and contributed three rebounds, one assist, and a steal. Jericho Cruz had 10 points, five rebounds, one assist, and one steal.

SMB's biggest lead is 28 points; they outscored the Hotshots in all four quarters, and the Beermen extended their winning streak to 11.

Finals Game 3 is on Wednesday, February 7, at 7:30pm at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
