Rain or Shine Elasto Painters (5-5) defeated TNT Tropang GIGA (4-6), 119-112 to secure their fifth win and a spot in the quarterfinals in the 2023-24 PBA Commissioner's Cup on Friday, January 5, 2024 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
Ran or Shine survives Rahlir Hollis-Jefferson's 50-point PBA debut and to extend their winning streak to five.
Demetrius Treadwell led the Elasto Painters with a huge double-double of 25 points on 10-of-14 shooting and 5-of-17 from the freethrow line, to go along with a game-high 24 points, and 4 assists. Andrei Caracut had another solid performance of 23 points, 2 rebounds, and 4 assists while Rey Nambatac added 19 points, 4 rebounds, and 4 assists.
