Korea def. Gilas Pilipinas Men, 96-92 (June 17) Friendly Game

Korean national basketball team defeated the 10-man Gilas Pilipinas Men, 96-92 in the first of their two tune-up games at the 2022 KB Kookmin Bank Invitational on Friday, June 17 at the Anyang Gymnasium in Gyeonggi-do, South Korea hosted by the Korea Basketball Association (KBA).

Choi Jun-yong led the Koreans with 16 points including three 3-pointers, to go with 11 rebounds, 6 assists and a block while Yeo Jun Seok added 17 points (2/4 3pt) and 6 rebounds. Naturalized center Ra Gun-Ah (Ricardo Ratliffe) with a solid double-double game of fourteen points, eleven rebounds, one assist and a block.

Kiefer Ravena paced Gilas with 22 points (5/7 2pt, 4/9 3pt) along with three rebounds, two assists and a steal in 30 minutes of play. Dwight Ramos finished with 16 points (2/5 2pt, 3/5 3pt, 3/3 ft), to go with 5 rebounds, 2 steals and 1 assist while Rhenz Abando with a solid Gilas debut of 11 points including perfect 3-of-3 beyond the arc and 3 rebounds.
