Phoenix Super LPG (6-1) defeated the Barangay Ginebra (4-2), 82-77 in the 2023-24 PBA Commissioner's Cup on Saturday, December 9, at the FPJ Arena in San Jose, Batangas.
This event marked the inaugural PBA game in the brand new FPJ Arena, named after the late actor and National Artist Fernando Poe Jr., which was inaugurated last August 20, 2023, marking his 84th birth anniversary.
Phoenix extended its winning streak to 5 and broke Ginebra's 3-game winning streak. The Super LPG team maintains its solo second position in the standings, while Ginebra slides to number 5.
