Gilas Pilipinas Men (2-1) lost their last preliminary round Group C game in the 2023 Asian Games Men's Basketball 5x5 event against the Rondae Hollis Jefferson-led Jordan (3-0), 62-87, for an outright slot in the quarterfinals on Saturday, September 30, at the Hangzhou Olympic Sports Centre Gymnasium. Rondae Hollis-Jefferson led the Falcons with 24 points to go with 6 rebounds, 9 assists, 2 steals, and 2 blocks in 38 minutes of play. Fadi Mustafa finished with 17 points (3/7 3pts), along with 3 rebounds, and 5 assists while Sami Bzai added 12 points (3/6 3pts), 2 rebounds and 1 steal.
Jordan advances to the quarterfinals while Gilas will face Qatar (1-2) on October 2 at 4:00pm in the qualification for the quarterfinals [LIVE], and the winner will advance to play against Iran in the knockout quarterfinal on October 3.
