June Mar Fajardo paced Gilas in the losing effort with 14 points and 7 rebounds. Dwight Ramos and CJ Perez finished with 11 points apiece, while Jamie Malonzo added 9.
The Chot Reyes-mentored Gilas will be back in action against the same Senegal team on Sunday, August 6, at 8:00pm and will play Iran anew on Monday, August 7 at 8:00pm.
