Philippines representative Zamboanga Valientes MLV (6-6) defeated the Louvre Surabaya of Indonesia (1-11), 83-69 in the fourth leg of the 2023 ASEAN Basketball League (ABL) Invitational tournament on Monday, February 13 at the Nguyen Du Arena in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
Renaldo Balkman led the Valientes with a double-bouble ABL comeback of 28 points (13/18fg, 2/3ft) along with 15 rebounds and six assists in 25 minutes of play. Jeremy Arthur had a solid game of 16 points (6/15fg, 2/5 3pts, 2/3ft) to go with three assists and two steals while John Amores added 9 points and five rebounds.
The Valientes will face the Hong Kong Eastern on Tuesday, February 14 at 6:30pm. (UPDATE: PHL def. HONG KONG, 71-65)
