Barangay Ginebra defeated the PBA guest team Bay Area Dragons, 114-99 in do-or-die Game 7 in the 2022-23 PBA Commissioner's Cup Finals on Sunday, January 15 in front of record-breaking 54,589 crowd at the Philippine Arena in Bocaue, Bulacan.

Newly naturalized Filipino Justin Brownlee led Ginebra with 34 points (14/22fg, 4/7 3pts, 2/2ft) along with 8 rebounds, 12 assists, 1 steal and 3 blocks as the Gin Kings nailed their 15th franchise crown. Jamie Malonzo with a huge game of 22 points to go with game-high 17 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal and 2 blocks while Scottie Thompson had 18 points, 9 rebounds, 3 assists and 6 steals.

Japeth Aguilar added 14 points while the PBA Finals MVP Christian Standhardinger with a double-double performance of 12 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists.

Ginebra shot 42/90 (46%) from the field, including 13-of-30 shooting from beyond the arc (BAD - 37/93fg, 11/42 3pts), and Ginebra went 17-of-26 from the free throw line (BAD - 14/29ft). Gin Kings had 16 turnovers while the Dragons had 13. GIN recorded more assists, 32-21 and outrebounded the Bay Area 60-53.
