Asia's #3 New Zealand's Tall Blacks (2-1) defeated Asia's no.6 Gilas Pilipinas Men (1-2), 92-75 to claim the second seed in Group D in the 2022 FIBA Asia Cup on Sunday, July 17 at the Istora Senayan Stadium in Jakarta, Indonesia.

Flynn Cameron led the Tall Blacks with 18 points on 6-of-8 shooting along with 4 rebounds and 3 assists while Taine Murray added 16 points, 8 rebounds and 2 asssits.

Kiefer Ravena paced Gilas with seventeen points (6/13 fg, 1/6 3pts, 4/4 ft) to go with six rebounds and three assists. Kevin Quiambao with a solid game of 14 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 steals while Carl Tamayo added 14 points and 4 rebounds.
