Gilas Pilipinas Women Youth U16 defeated Indonesia women U16 national team, 104-68 in the opening day of the 2022 FIBA U16 Women's Asian Championship (Division B) on Friday, June 24 at the Prince Hamza Arena in Amman, Jordan.

Gabriella Ramos led Gilas Women U16 with a huge double-double performance of 27 points, 20 rebounds, 4 assists, 4 blocks and 2 steals. Kristan Geyl Yumul with a solid game of 20 points including 6-of-11 from downtown, to go with 2 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 steals while Naomi Natalie Panganiban added 15 points, 8 rebounds, 5 assists and a steal.

The Philippines will play Syria on Saturday (June 25 @ 8:45PM) and will face Samoa on Sunday (June 26 @ 8:45PM).
