TNT Tropang Giga uses a strong 4th quarter to beat the Barangay Ginebra, 114-105 to end their elimination round campaign with a 10-1 win-loss record, secures the top seed and a 2x-to-beat advantage in the quarterfinals of the 2023 PBA Governors' Cup on Friday, March 17 at the Philsports Arena.
TNT outscored the GinKings, 32-12 in the final period. Hollis-Jefferson led the Tropang Giga with a double-double of 32 points (12/19fg, 10/13ft) along with eleven rebounds, four assists, four steals and a block to extend their winning streak to eight games.
Mikey Williams had a solid game of 25 points (9/20fg, 5/13 3pts) to go with six assists and a steal while RR Pogoy added 22 points, four rebounds and three steals.
Twice-to-beat TNT will start their quarterfinal campaign against Phoenix Super LPG on Wednesday, March 22 (3:00pm) at the SMART Araneta Coliseum while 2x-to-beat Ginebra will face NLEX Road Warriors on Sunday, March 19 at 6:45pm at the SMART Araneta Coliseum
