San Miguel Beermen (7-1) survived a late rally by Barangay Ginebra (3-2), 102-99 to grab their seventh win in the 2023 PBA Governors' Cup on Friday, February 17 at the SMART Araneta Coliseum.
Cameron Clark led the Beermen with a double-double performance of 35 points (14/22fg, 7/9ft) along with ten rebounds, two assists and a block. CJ Perez had another all-around game of 20 points, seven rebounds, four assists and four steals while June Mar Fajardo finished with 12 points, eighteen rebounds, three steals and a block.
Christian Standhardinger paced the GinKings in the losing effort with a double-double of his own with 29 points, ten rebounds, seven assists and a block while Justin Brownlee had a near triple-double of 21 points, ten rebounds, nine assists and two blocks as Ginebra suffered back-to-back losses.
