TNT Tropang Giga (1-0) defeated Phoenix Super LPG (0-1), 123-119 to grab their first win in the 2023 PBA Governors' Cup on Wednesday, January 25 at the SMART Araneta Coliseum.
Jojo Lastimosa made his PBA debut as the head coach of TNT against the Super LPG under a new mentor in Jamike Jarin.
Jalen Hudson led the Tropang GIGA with near-triple double performance of 34 points (12/26fg, 6/14 3pts, 4/11ft) along with 10 rebounds, 7 assists, 1 steal, 1 block and 4 turnovers in 25 minutes of play in his PBA debut. RR Pogoy with a solid game of 21 points on 9-of-11 shooting from the field to go with 6 rebounds and 1 assist while Calvin Oftana added 17 points including 4-of-4 from beyond the arc with 7 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 steals.
