Converge FiberXers (2-0) defeated TerraFirma Dyip (0-1), 130-115 to grab their second win in the 2023 PBA Governors' Cup on Thursday, January 26 at the PhilSports Arena.
Converge new import Jamaal Franklin led the FiberXers with near triple-double performance of 42 points on 9-of-20 shooting from the field including 7-of-18 from beyond the arc and 17-of-20 from the line, along with 11 rebounds, 8 assists, 1 steal and a block in 40 minutes of play.
Five local players scored in double-digits for Converge led by Maverick Ahanmisi with 16 points, 9 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 steals while Justine Arana and Jeron Teng added 15 points each.
Jordan Williams paced the Dyip with huge 46 points (17/31fg, 8/15 3pts, 4/6ft), to go with 6 rebounds, 3 assists, 4 steals and 2 blocks while Juami Tiongson finished with 18 points, 4 rebounds, 1 assist and game-high 4 steals.
