Barangay Ginebra defeated Meralco Bolts, 115-110 in game 5 to take a commanding 3-2 lead in their best-of-7 series of the 2021-2022 PBA Governors' Cup Finals on Sunday in front of 18,251 crowd at the SMART Araneta Coliseum.

Justin Brownlee led Gin Kings with a huge double-double of 40 points on 13-of-17 shooting including five 3-pointers along with 11 rebounds, 5 assists, 2 blocks and a steal in 44 minutes of play. Scottie Thompson was one rebound shy of a triple double of 19 points (8/15 FG, 3/7 3PT), 11 assists, 9 rebounds, 1 steal and a block.

Arvin Tolentino with a solid game of 16 points (5/10 FG, 4/9 3PT, 2/2 FT), 4 rebounds, 3 steals and 1 assist while Christian Standhardinger and LA Tenorio added 13 points and 10 points, respectively.
