Kazakhstan (3-0) uses strong fourth quarter to beat hosts Iran (2-1), 73-69 to claim their third win in Group D of the FIBA World Cup 2023 Asian Qualifiers on Thursday at the Azadi Basketball Hall in Tehran, Iran.

Nikolay Bazhin led Kazakhstan with 23 points on 7-of-15 shooting including six 3-pointers along with 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 2 blocks in 28 minutes of play for the Snow Leopards. Kazakhstan's naturalized player Anthony Clemmons with a solid game of 17 points (6/10 FG, 5/7 3PT), 6 assists, 4 rebounds and 2 steals.

Mohammad Jamshidi paced Iran with game-high 32 points (11/20 FG, 4/5 3PT, 6/6 FT), 4 assists, 1 rebound and 1 steal in a loss while point guard Sajjad Mashayekhi and Arsalan Kazemi added 16 points and 8 points, respectively.
