World #51 Gilas Pilipinas Women defeated world #70 India, 74-70 to claim 7th place and retained its spot in Division A in the 2021 FIBA Women's Asia Cup on Thursday at Prince Hamzah Hall in Amman Jordan.

Khate Castillo led the Philippines with a huge 22 points (7/12 FG) including 7-of-11 three-pointers, 3 assists and 1 rebound. Janine Pontejos tallied 22 points on 9-of-22 from the field (4-of-15 3PT), 5 rebounds, 3 steals and 2 assists in 28 minutes of play.
