World #51 Gilas Pilipinas Women (0-2) lost to world #3 Australia (2-0), 120-56 in the preliminary round of the 2021 FIBA Women's Asia Cup on Tuesday at Prince Hamzah Hall in Amman Jordan.

6'2" forward Keely Jane Froling led the Opals with a double-double performance of 21 points (7/14 FG, 6/9 FT), game-high 12 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 steal and a block while Lauren Nicholson added 21 points (7/13 FG, 4/5 3PT, 3/3 FT), 6 rebounds, 3 assists and 1 block.

Janine Pontejos paced Gilas Pilipinas Women with 13 points (4/10 FG, 3/9 3PT, 2/2 FT), 1 rebound, 1 assist and 1 steal in 23 minutes of play while Kristine Cayabyab added 10 points (4/8 FG, 2/3 3PT), 2 rebounds and 1 assist. Gilas Women star Afril Bernardino finished the game with 8 points on 4-of-8 shooting, 3 rebounds and 1 assist.
