Basketball powerhouse and world #1 USA defeated world #3 Australia, 97-78 in the knockout semifinal of the Men's Basketball 2020 Tokyo Olympics on Thursday at the Saitama Super Arena in Saitama, Japan.

Team USA outscored the Boomers 32-10 in the third quarter. Four Team USA players finished in double figures with Kevin Durant leading the way with 23 points (10/19 FG), 9 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steal and 1 block. Devin Booker finished with 20 points (7/10 FG, 3/5 3PT), with 3 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal and a block while Khris Middleton and Jrue Holiday with 11 points each.

Team USA will now face France in the gold medal match while Australia will battle Slovenia for the bronze.
