Eumir Marcial KNOCKS OUT Arman Darchinyan in Round 1 (VIDEO) Advances to Semis | Tokyo Olympics

Filipino boxer Eumir Marcial knocks out Arman Darchinyan, the nephew of former two-division champion Vic Darchinyan, of Armenia in round 1 (49 seconds left) in their quarterfinal match of the men's middleweight (69-75kg) category at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics on Sunday, August 1 at the Kokugikan Arena in Tokyo, Japan.

Zamboanga native Marcial is through to the semifinals and will face Ukraine's Oleksandr Khyzhniak on August 5, Thursday at 2:00PM (MNL time). The Ukrainian had an amateur record of 108W-13L 16KOs while Marcial's amateur record is 70W-18L 17KOs and 1W as pro.

Eumir Marcial is now assured of at least an Olympic bronze medal.
