Tokyo Olympics Live Updates, Standings, Schedule and Live Stream. World #7 France defeated basketball powerhouse and world #1 USA, 83-76 in the group phase (Group A) in the opening day of the Men's Basketball 2020 Tokyo Olympics on Sunday at the Saitama Super Arena in Saitama, Japan.

France snapped Team USA's 25-game Olympic winning streak and handed Team USA's first Olympic loss since 2004.

France finished the game on a 16-2 run to pull off the upset over Team USA. Evan Fournier led France with 28 points (11/22 fg, 4/12 3pt), 4 rebounds, 1 steal and 1 assist while Nando De Colo added 13 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists and 2 steals. Jrue Holiday led Team USA with 18 points (5/13 fg, 3/6 3pt) in the loss while Edrice Adebayo added 12, Damian Lillard with 11 (3/10 fg), Kevin Durant with 10 points (4/12 fg).
