Nigeria stuns Team USA 90-87 in pre-Olympic exhibition (VIDEO)

World #22 (#1 in Africa) Nigeria beats World #1 Team USA, 90-87 in tuneup game in preparation for the Tokyo Olympics on Saturday night, early Sunday morning PHL time, at Mandalay Bay Arena in Las Vegas.

As per ESPN , Coming into the game the Americans had been 54-2 in exhibition games since professionals started playing in 1992, and just nine years ago beat Nigeria by 83 points in the London Olympics. Five years ago, Team USA beat Nigeria by 43 points in an exhibition. Nigeria, meanwhile, was coached by Warriors associate head coach Mike Brown and had eight players with NBA experience.

Gabe Nnamdi, who goes by Gabe Vincent when playing for the Miami Heat, led Nigeria with 21 points (6 3pts). Caleb Agada scored 17 points, Ike Nwamu added 13 and Nigeria outscored the U.S. 60-30 from 3-point range.
