World #10 Italy defeated world #5 Serbia, 102-95 in the final of the FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournament (OQT Belgrade) on Sunday, early Monday morning PHL time, at Aleksandar Nikolić Hall in Belgrade, Serbia. Italy qualifies for the Tokyo Men's Olympic Basketball Tournament. As per FIBA, the Italians earned their first Olympics appearance since the 2004 Athens Games, where they won the silver medal.

Nicolò Mannion led Italy with 24 points (7/17 fg, 9/9 ft) and 4 assists while teammate Achille Polonara added 22 points (6/8 3pt), 12 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 steals.
